Hydrofluoric acid is an aqueous solution of hydrogen fluoride gas, clear, colorless, smoke corrosive liquid, with a severe irritating odor. Because the hydrogen atoms and fluorine atoms between the relatively strong ability to make hydrofluoric acid in water can not be completely ionized, so theoretically low concentrations of hydrofluoric acid is a weak acid.
